He graduated from the Maritime Academy in Bergen, Norway. With a degree in electrical engineering.
Besides running a small business, he has a 50% position at Corvus Energy. focusing on the North American hybrid/electrical market for marine applications.
Joined Island Offshore Subsea in 2009/2010 for design specification of the new-building contract for the semi-sub "Island Innovator."
Polar Tankers have ABB control and power systems onboard.
I still do some occasional support and training for the operational team.
Including onboard training related to safer HV isolation procedures.
Worked as rig electrician onboard the Eirik Raude 2000 -2002
Project responsible for the hybrid package onboard the "Vision of the Fjord"
Supporting the team for the next vessel, "Future of the Fjords"
Moved to Seattle in -93, and worked as electrician / port engineer for companies operating in Alaska.
Quit fishing in 1997, but as they say:
